(Disclaimer: I hope I really do help and this is no way to offend you or your family. I don't have pre-teens as children but as siblings. At 13 yro my little brother watched his best friend get hit by a train, some things he went through and how he got through are how I am able to speak to you today. He found an outlet and is "healing" now.)
As a parent it is always hard to watch your little one worry about things that she shouldn't. However, you also must step back and take note of what she is exposed to. What are they learning about in school? Is there someone she doesn't get along with? Do you all watch the news in front of her? She may be getting overwhelmed with somethings that has happened recently and cannot effectively turn them into words.
She is going from a little girl and turning into a young lady so quickly which may be stressful. Be sure to be there for her emotionally for whatever she is going through and also find a positive stress relief/ outlet for her like a journal, yoga, or whatever she likes.
