I have twin girls and they both take their clothes off and their diapers!! I have tried everything from duct tape to clothes on backwards. So we decided it was time to potty train and so far so good. But we are still having a problems at bedtime and nap time. I don't want to wake them up to use the potty because then that disrupts their sleeping and their routes. I'm tried of having to give them a bath in the middle of the night or after a nap. I'm tried of washing sheets and blankets. My husband and I are so frustrated with this!! We don't know what to do anymore, anyone have any answers!!

I know that it sounds crazy but my husband used duct tape one night and she never did it again.

My youngest son wouldn't keep a diaper on for anything so I bought the pajama's that zipped up cut out the feet and put them on backwards. He couldn't get to the diaper to take it off. Less laundry and bathing makes a happy mommy:)

Actually, my son is also in the process of this delightfulness leaving me little "presents" every morning when I open his bedroom door. The best advice I ever got was from a friend of mine who had twins and would throw their poo at eachother. You can either cut the feet out of footie pjamas or buy footless one piece pjamas and put the buttons/zipper in the back where they can't reach it. It's makes my mornings much more welcoming!

I could ask the same question! I have twin daughters 18 months, I actually just went upstairs to check on them and one of them has done it again! This has been going on for a while. I try to duct tape their diapers, but now she has mastered that!

There were a lot of comments here, so I didn't have time to read through all so sorry if repeat comment here....My son does this as well, we tried the backwards thing, onesies and overalls, the one thing that works well is TAPE! We put a piece of packing tape from hip to hip across the tabs of his diaper, and he can't get it off. It may be a little extra time during diapering but it beats cleaning poo and pee of the sheets, cribs, and walls! Plus we've been doing it for a while now, so he doesn't hardly bother trying anymore, even if the tape isn't there. Good Luck!

I did the same thing with my oldest daughter, only I used Duct tape. Nothing else would work.

Hi,

I didn't have time to read the other posts fully so I apologize in advance if I am repeating advice. Have you tried bloomers over the diapers? They look like little panties, I have two pair that came with dresses (they were the matching under bottoms) and another two pair that I found at a boutique. My daughter is 16 months old and cannot take the pants off by herself. As Nancy Kipp below asked, how old is she because if she is around 2 + then pants, etc... may not work because she has the ability to rip anything off....good luck. :-)

Definitely sounds like she is ready to be potty trained. She seems uncomfortable with having a wet diaper, and seems to know when she has to go.

Put her in an outfit she can't get through to take the diaper off?

Thats what I do, or put them in a sleep sack

There are covers you can put over your sheets I can't remember what they are called but it is like a nappy sheet that you lay across the bed in the middle and tuck the edges in under the matress. In the nursing world we call them Kylies but there are special ones for kids ( disposable and washable which ever you prefer) You can lay one of these on the bed for extra protection incase the nappy comes off :)

My Little girl strips her clothes of then her nappie (diaper) off everytime we put her down for a sleep we tryed layering her clothes so she couldnt get them off but then she was climbing out the neck of them! I was so fed up with changing the sheets evrytime! i then tried to put her nappy on backwards but it cut into her legs (not badly but uncomfertable). My last resort and its working awesomely so far! I have started to tape over her tabs she cant get them off. If she learns how to i have no idea what to do lol! hope i helped some how!

I have been through two rambunctious boys as children, and they both decided it was funny to make mommy hysterical when they took off their diapers! Lol My husband and I decided to put them in onesies in the summer and full-length pjs with cuffed feet with the zipper in the back and took turns doing that, so they know they can't work us against each other. This way too, our boys agreed it was too much of a hassle to reach back, unzip and wiggle their way out of their clothes and then take their diapers off! They're now 17 & 16. Thank goodness they're too old to remember that now!

Hello. My son is actually doing the same thing. I put him in pull ups night time diapers. I also put him in a onsie and normally shorts or pants (depending on the temp). he finally decided that it would be too much effort to take off all layers. hope this helps. good luck!

MY boys did this all I had to do is put a onesie on em with some pants and they gave up..but I read on here once that buy feetie pjs cut the feet off and turn em around so the zipper is in the back..hope this helps...I think it is a stage all kids go through...

If she is old enough to potty train she might be ready for that...I suggest NO pull ups...just buy underwear and deal with cleanin up the bed it feels very uncomfortable to pee the bed and she won't do it very many times...you use a pull up and she might think of it as a diaper...during the day after accidents do cold shower....don't get mad...dont bribe use praise its free and you'll never have to stop it...

How old is she? I cut my daughters drinking off about 1 hour before bed. We visit potty, last thing before lying down and I put those training pants with plastic outer panty on top. So far so good. My boy took of his diaper as a baby, too. (He's 8 now, keep in mind, "this too shall pass.") This method of training panties is working better, she feels like a big girl still in panties. Of course it means more wiping up in the morning, but eventually she'll be able to control her bladder and the plastic panties will go by the way side also. ----Good luck and God bless!
