Oh my! My 12 yr old is in the same boat. She has had her period for a few months now & missed this recent month & I've tried to explain to her that things can & will be irregular for a while. Her & I used to be the best of friends & her mood swings have changed things btw us. I'll always be here for her, even though sometimes she's impossible. When that happens I find it best to agree to disagree & move on. Being a sahm of 4, 1 being a toddler, life is crazy busy non stop so not one of us have time to dwell on anything so if she feels the need to sulk & dwell on whatever, she does & she will be a total pain for a bit then go hide in the bathroom or whereever for a little while, have her meltdown, not always in private but sometimes, then she moves on. Oh the joy of tween mood swings!

find the buttons and don't touch them. I can have bad pms and certain topics would set me off real bad as a teenager. One of them is appearance, I struggle with styling hair and this would cause epic melt downs during pms.
Maybe let her "hide" for them. Like if she wants to sit and read or something on her own during them then let her. She will calm down once they get more regular and she has been having them for a while.
