My daughter of 8 resists discipline, what should i do?

Until my daughter reached Grade 3 which is now, she used to put away her things, if not happily at least to obey. However, now after repeated pleas and threats, she refuses to be organised. I'm at my wits end, what should i do?

Pleaing and threatening is not going to work. You have to lay the law down and if she won't do it, there needs to be consequences. Take what she likes the most, away. Whether it be T.V, outside play, internet, etc....

You have to have rules and consequnces. You have to be consistent and always do as you said you would. Threats are useless, unless you are actually going to follow through. Otherwise, they will not believe you or take you seriously and they will not listen. It will only get a heck of a lot worse, unless you take control.
