My daughter got her ear pierced 3 weeks ago. She must of slept on it. The one ear is red and swollen. Not too big. What should I do to clear that up? I have put ice on it and cleaned her ear. Looks better than yesterday.

Also make sure the back of the earring is not too tight, if so pull it almost to the end of the post so it will not apply that constant pressure.

I would have to agree with the peroxide I have had several piercings before and it has always cleared infections fast you should notice a difference within a few hours

I would suggest using an antiseptic on it when my ears get infected I use hydrogen peroxide on it and it clears up the infection very quickly. Yes the peroxide does sting a little bit but it will definitely clear up the infection.

This is an infection. Bath the ear with cooled boiled water and add some salt to it. This will not sting and will treat the infection. If this does not settle or becomes painful she will need to see a doctor!
