Tell her no. You don't know the kid and you don't feel that one on one co-ed sleepovers are age appropriate... regardless of the relationship between the kids.

Let's turn the question around.....My daughter wants to stay overnight at a boy's house.....would you let her?

No. No. And no.

You can certainly have him over for the day. Either way, you should speak with his parents, and meet them. But no. THere is NO reason for him to sleep over.

meeting at sports camp is fine and dandy, but I don't know any parent who will allow their kid to do an overnight with people they have not met, who live 3 hours away...that, in itself, seems off to me.
Have you spoken with his parents? Are they even on board with the suggestion? \
Personally, I'd say no. The travel time, alone, is prohibitive. Surely she has friends in your area that she can spend time with, and she should be encouraged to do so.

Have you talked to the boy's parents? Why do they think it's appropriate for their son to sleep over at a 13 y/o girl's house? Are they going to drive him the 3 hours to get there? That's really odd. And Jodi raised a good question... how does she know him? You shouldn't trust her. She's 13 and still needs her parent to show her what's right and wrong.

If you've never met him, and he lives 3 hours away....how does she know him?

I personally wouldn't at all!! They may just be friends but you know how quickly that can change and having them in the same house could just encourage it.
