NO juice at all... not even a drop. If you give water it should only ever be plain water... and if the child doesn't drink it like that... they aren't thirsty enough for it.

My son at 9 months would sometimes nurse 20 times in 24 hours, not overfed, not overweight.... Bottles and solids can be overfed easily though.

Take count at how often you nurse and for how long. Sometimes babies are overweight because they are overfed. Some parents will reach for a bottle or nurse anytime the child cries without trying to soothe other ways. Then as the child becomes older this turns into habit. As a child or adult this is called an emotional eater.

I really don't think you should be concerned about her weight at this age! I know of a baby who weighed 30 pounds at 1 year and weighed the same at 3 years! God made each of us wonderfully different and she's just a chubby baby! It sounds like what you are feeding her is good. Unless there is a reason you are giving her the bottles, I'd suggest you breastfeed instead and ditch the fruit water in favor or water. Limiting starches and sugar is good training for life! When you take her to her appt, just listen politely to the doctor, smile, and don't worry about it! Listen to your mom! Blessings to you sweet mama!

First of all, cut out the juice. Just water. Not for her weight necessarily but her teeth. She doesn't need it. Then think of how much calories she is consuming. Her main source of nutrition should still be breastmilk or formula. Hopefully you are not giving her cows milk because she is not yet 1 years old.

She do both bottle and breast. i feed her more veggies like Pumpkin, peas and fruits. Family by my father's said are chubby. My mom said i was also a chubby baby, and she had the same problem with me when i was her age, but i lost all the fat. So am not sure if she would follow the same trend. i try not to give starchy food and sugar.
i give her 2 bottles of milk 2 bottles of juice water and 2 solid daily and breast feed her more at night

How sad to be worried about her weight when she's so young! You said you had tried everything...maybe if you told us a little more about your situation, we could have better suggestions. Is she bottle or breast and what are you feeding her solid wise? Does she come from a family of elephants or giraffes? ;) Hope you can tell us a little more...
