my was adopted when she was 4 and I just recently came in contact with her adopted mother, we have been communicating for a few weeks now. She told me this past week that my little girl was diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, but I NEVER once drank a sip or did anything that could harm her while I was pregnant. I have been doing some researching trying to help figure out what exactly happened and ive come up with nothing. She has a lot of difficulties and its over whelming thinking that she may think im the cause of this, more importantly I really want know how my baby ended up so hurt? Could someone of been feeding her alcohol as a young toddler? I worked a lot an my ex was an alcoholic, could this maybe solve this? and if so, I already know I am still to blame for havin her harmed. I really need some answers.. :(

I too am curious if alcohol can cause any degree of fasd if ingested by an infant/toddler. Although it answer your question, the book Damaged Angels is a really good book about fasd, the author adopted two girls with fas. Easy read. Good luck. I'm sorry all your hard work to be healthy for your unborn might have been in vain. Sorry that's maybe not very appropriate..
