My daughter won't stop listening to screamo music?

I was looking on my iTunes account and noticed "Motionless in White" and "Atilla" was purchased. She's only 16 years old and I'm very concerned with what this music might influence my daughter to do. Should I act upon this or just let it slide?

I'm sure your parents didn't like the music you listened to at that age either.
Music won't make someone do something they don't want to do.

I have to agree with the other ladies. The only things that would make your daughter do things you do not want her doing is peer pressure that she succumbs to or thinking of things on her own and doing them. But music does not "make" someone do something even if it does have something to say about it in the song. My parents did not care about things I was listening too until my mother listened to some of the music my sis and I listened to. There was heavy metal music and we did not listen to that so much as we did the love songs and upbeat songs. My mom listened and she liked some of it. My kids were surprised that I would take the time to listen to what they were listening to and give an opinion on it. It is a phase and she will grow out of it.

Music won't influence your daughter to "do" anything. She's 16. Are you planning on controlling the music she listens to all her life? No? So why start now?
