1 yo children don't watch the shows. They watch the motion on the screen. Been there, done that. ;-)
Does she recognize Pauley Perrette? Michael Weatherly? Mark Harmon? Was she devastated when Cote quit and Ziva went back to Israel? Doubtful. But I'm not going to argue that point with you.
Don't get me wrong, NCIS is the only show I actually watch...LOL...and I think it's great you're starting that tradition early, but she's not really watching yet.

When my daughter was turning a year old she was in love with The backyardigans because it was colorful and she loved dancing to the music, we didn't go all out for her birthday but we made the cake Backyardigans theme.
Also, my son watches The Office when I have it on but he doesn't actually watch it. They are too young to comprehend what's going and a doctor will tell you that.

Veronica, I agree with the other ladies, your babygirl cannot grasp what she is watching- literally. It's pure biology....
But to answer your question:
My stepdaughter LOVES music... For her bday (3y/o), we gave her a "dance party" bday party....
That was our theme... The kids showed up in their funkiest, most colorful outfit... We had dance music throughout... We adopted games and had a hoola contest, how low can you go, dance-freeze, show-me-what-you-got contest, musical chairs..... It was super fun actually... The parents loved the idea because all their kids apparently went to bed early that night after our party LOL.....
We even had this colorful lamp, which hyped up the kids... For food we had susage bites, cupcakes, potato wedge bites, Chicken bites, cookies, and a bunch of other kid-friendly food....
Hope that helps!

What music do they play on NCIS? None except in the beginning so please stop saying my child is sitting looking at a screen and looking at shapes. So please just leave it alone. If you can't be HELPFUL with the question I asked then please don't respond thanks!

In relation to your post: in truth, the first birthday party IS more about the parents and less about the baby. With that said, we indulge bday parties for kids in our family (my sis' kids included) and theses parties are ALL about the kids. Not just the bday child, but all of the nieces/nephews, neighborhood kids, classmates, siblings, and friends who will be attending. So, I always pick a theme that both celebrates the birthday girl's individualism and will be fun for the other kids.
Some of the themes we've done over the years are: Carnival/Circus, Sweet Shop, Pumpkins and Pearls, Kamdyn's Caboose, Mermaid Magic, and "Beary" Fun.
The "Sweet Shop" is a lot of fun to do for any age little girl. We let the kids make their own goody bags from the "sweets" bar, which had unique candies, like: rainbow DOTS, rock candy pops, and other old fashioned candy. Since the bday girl loves music just like your daughter, our other take home gift for the kids attending was a homemade CD, which my husband burned copies of. I made a list of songs that were her favorites that year (from TV, on the radio, from school, and heard at Gymboree class!). I made homemade CD covers...the front was a copied picture of the bday girl and the back was a printed list of the songs on the CD.
Hope this helps!

Yes, you know that your kid enjoys hearing the music and watching the shapes on the screen...Lmao...
We understand that. We also understand that its really easy to go overboard on a birthday party for a 1 yo. That's all I was saying.

Ok, don't be offended, but the first birthday party is really for you and dad. She's not going to be interested, nor is she going to remember any of it.
Also, I have to say that it's really hard to believe a 1 yo "likes" NCIS, the show...she probably likes the music to the show, but doesn't have a clue about the show itself! LOL...I know, my son "loved" the Fresh Prince of BelAir when he was a wee one...because the theme song was a bumpin' tune that he liked me to sing. Once he actually got old enough to express preferences, he could have cared less about the show itself ;-)
I know it's tempting to go completely overboard for the first bday...but its better to wait for themed parties until they're old enough to know what it is and have fun.
