My daughter will be 17 next month & she has been kicked out of two schools,a pending shoplifting charge & truency issues as well as a drug & alcohol problem. After years of going through pure hell I finally had to kick her out.She is now living with her grandparents. She states that she is suicidal. This is absoultly killing me.I'm not eating or sleeping.Any suggestions?

So how do you think your parents are dealing with it? Does she have more respect for them and will not use drugs in their home? Girl needs some help on a professional level.

Yes she has been diagnosed bipolar, adhd & odd.She openly uses drugs in my home with no regard to my rules @ all!I have called the police several times, they arrest her then I just have to turn around & pick her up again.I'm living in hell.

Well, sorry but kicking her out may have made it worse overall. Get her some professional help. Not just the hospital. Child needs a psychological workup.

I should have mentioned that she has been in the hospital several times before for the same issue.I feel like she has fallen through the cracks.I have no faith in the system.Since she is 16 she has to sign her self into treatment which she is not willing to do.I feel so stuck!

If she says she's suicidal then you can take her to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.. She also needs to be in a good rehab program. Kids with drug and alcohol problems can be very manipulative, and kicking her out and not enabling her is probably the best thing. I know its hard, but she needs professional help. But any threat of suicide should not be taken lightly and she needs to be evaluated immediately.

Get a full psychological work up. School system is required to test for learning disabilities and ADHD. If she is suicidal, she should be taken for a mental health evaluation immediately! She is crying out for help. Try to get her the help she needs.
