I have tried really hard to be amiable in co parenting after my divorce in 2012 but have endured the most high levels of disrespect and disregard from my ex since divorcing him. He lies about everything to the children and always twist facts to try and make me look like a bad parent. He and his new wife do this on an on going basis. Recently, his wife attacked me and i have filed a warrant for her arrest...why is this my life?

Not the first time I've seen issues with military or police personnel. The power trip goes to their head and they feed off it. The ones that really suffer are the kids. Not good at all.

Thanks Raye, I'm hanging in here because my 3 kids are my life. All that I work for. More recently, my two sons told me that they over heard my ex and his wife conspiring to take custody from me noting that they were going to make me suffer. So I've retained a lawyer just in case and will go ahead and put the kids back into counseling to see if the counselor can make a recommendation for me having full custody to family court. I'm trying all I can here. My ex is also a police office and I have had to file a formal complaint with internal affairs, the mayor and the chief of police for misfeasance during the attack against me because he was present and did nothing to stop her. I have been praying every day and night that this gets better.

Some people are petty and self-centered, and they aren't mature enough to focus on the big picture which is the welfare of the children. I know it's not helpful, but you're not the only one in that boat. Try to stay strong and be there for your kids.
