please help need advise. this is the 2nd time. My father in law accuses me of stealing my own husbands money. First of all i am the only one working in the household. My father in law has his rv parked in my yard and i pay for his light and whatever else he needs. he is capable of getting a job. what should i do? tell him to leave? he is a widower and i believe he may be using this to his advantage. i feel taken advantage of and not appreciated :(

Have you and your husband discussed his father? Who made the decision to allow him to live on your property and use your utilities without contributing to the household budget? Who gave him a key to the house?

Sounds like you and hubby may need to have a heart to heart about his father. If the two of you cannot agree on what needs to be done, perhaps he needs to move into the RV with his dad, and you can charge them both rent and utilities.

You haven't stated how he's accusing you of stealing, but you've stated that he's quite obviously a kleptomaniac, and by ignoring the behaviour you and your husband will allow it to continue.

he went through my husbands desk for cigarette money and said i was ok with him doing so when i was not even home! The first time about 500 was taken and we had also found a wallet with money in it and got in contact with the owner of it to return it. There was cash in it and when it came time to return the wallet the $ was gone and he admitted to it!
