Does anyone out there have a creative mind and think of anything.. There is also Steven, Shane, and Billy that you can try to jumble together to make some cool name. I have thought of for Shane and Lonnie, Lhan or Soanne something. WE NEED HELP

It is amazing I came across this post. I have a son name Lonnie (after my grandfather) and I am pregnant again and I am trying to come up with another boy name. My dad's name is Harold and I am trying to come up with a name to go with Harold. I would love to know what you decided on.

How about Larnold? I like the other suggestions of Harlon too. When I was searching baby names I ran across several websites and one let you combine but for the life of me can't remember the site! Go to www.babycenter.com and check their baby name links.

I was going to suggest Harlon but it looks like a bunch of people have already beat me to it.

It's more of a scramble, but I thought of my friend's son who is named Landon. It's also in the top 100 of the baby names lists, so you know people will be able to spell and read it more easily cuz it'll be more familiar to them.

Harlon! It's a combination of the two without sounding like a 50's name....it's worth considering, I think....good luck with choosing! :)

Harland. I have an uncle named Harland and he is a great guy. Has looks, personality, wealth, good friends, calm disposition and very family oriented. Good luck in your quest.

How about Harlan. It would be unigue and somehow it feels right as an old fashioned name with obvious significance to your family

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am really liking the Harlon name, I think my husband will love it. I will find out tomorrow and tell you. He is in Germany for a few months. THANKS AGAIN

Lonald (like Donald), Combine Steven and Shane to "Shaven" (but he might get kidded);

of maybe "Staeven" that's kind of cool. One of my sons is Evan, so it could be Stevan.

I think I like that one the best, not quite "Steve", not quite "Evan", but Stevan. Or you could go with the "sh" and use "Shevan". that's not bad either. I'll try to think about it somemore for you. Good luck. Remember to think of all the ways it can be shortened and made fun of. Also, teachers are greatly affected by a name (grades, behavior etc). they don;t mean to be, it is subtle, but true. So don't get too crazy for your son's sake.

Gosh this is a toughy! :) Have you thought about maybe using your middle names instead or giving the baby a middle name that one of you have? For our son, we named him Camden Patrick because we both LOVED the name Camden and my Husbands middle name is Patrick and so is our sons God Father. And I plan on giving my next child my middle name so I dont get left out LOL. Good luck love!
