Let her learn through scribbling and drawing things on paper. That is how kids learn their writing skills. They have to first be able to master holding the pencil right or what they are using first. That comes with practice in coloring, scribbling and drawing things. Do not be in a hurry to push it. She will show you when she is ready for this kind of activity. Until then make sure there are lots of pencils, paper, crayons, markers, pens, and other writing instruments available to her. Use the paint program on the computer to allow her to use her fingers to draw things with, also get a Magnadoodle to let her do the same things she would with paper and writing things on to get the same idea of writing with. Just make this more about availability than the actual act of writing.

Evelyn gave great advice..Sorry i didnt know that she is interested because you wrote how can i train my kid to write and that sounds like you wanted to teach her to write. You could also write the Alphabet on paper and show her how you do it,in the way they show it on the tv program Get squiggeling.
