hiii gehan!! i would like to suggest that make home work or study time. he is so small and i think he doesnt hate studies rather he doesnt enjoy that. Listen to him and treat him with lots of love...children listen and obey elders if we listen them too Handle him with love and make study time fun time!!! best wishes

If it's things like colors, numbers, shapes, etc. these are all things you should have been helping your child with through play while they've been growing up. To make the child sit and "study" is going to be met with resistance, and you're going to make the child hate learning. You need to be more involved to keep learning interesting and fun.

No 3 year old should have homework. He's perfectly normal to not want to sit and do work. Preschoolers learn through play... so either make it fun or tell the school he's not going to do it. Incorporate whatever lesson he is supposed to be learning into a game or other activity that he already enjoys... and if he's not in the mood... drop it.

By making him sit and forcing him to do it... YOU are making him hate it. He's just being a 100% normal little boy.

I answered this on another post same name and same post...duplicate. I worked in a preschool setting and none of our kids did homework. They might get asked to supply family pictures for crafts or things to make crafts with but never did they have homework. At 3.5 years of age a child needs to be playing, coloring, putting puzzles together, outside in the fresh air, building with blocks and so on. Sitting for stories. But not to sit for hours on end doing work at the table. Most kids this age are not reading yet.

When all of my kids were in preschool... there was only homework a few times/year at most and it was family projects (like gluing family pictures and stuff on a poster).

Granted... I had two that did work books for fun... lol But my boy wouldn't sit and study if his life depended on it. ;)

He is 3 1/2. You DO NOT make a child this age sit down and study. Children this age learn through play not study. Where on earth do you live that homework is expected at this age? That is ridiculous!
