My little brother really struggles to do math and reading.

So I'm not a mom, I'm a brother, and I noticed that my five year old brother REALLY struggles to do simple math, for example, 5+4. And his reading is also very bad, as he sometimes forgets simple words like 'the,' 'this,' or even 'a'. Most of th time he reads or does math, he guesses. It's really stressful for me, especially when my mom yells at him for getting something wrong. How can I help him do better at reading and math? I'd really appreciate any suggestions :)

Your mom should be helping him not yelling. . What I would do since your his brother is make up some math and reading games for you in him to play together he'd probably like having you play with him but also it help him learn ...

He's 5... If your mom is yelling at him I think that would be something to bring up. She should be aware that yelling at a child does not help them learn. Other than that the best thing for YOU to do is just read to him and be his brother.
