My period is 5 days late and have had 2 negative home pregnancy tests

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 2 1/2 months now. My periods have always been regular, even while off the pill. The first month off, it was a day early and the second month it was a day late -- pretty regular. About 11 days ago, I experienced what I believe to be implantation bleeding. Slight spotting that only lasted about an hour and then was completely gone. I've also been experiencing other symptoms, twinges in my lower abdomin, moderate discharge, tender (but not awfully sore) breasts, dizziness and light-headiness and fatique. My period has NEVER been this late, other than when I was pregnant with my daughter, 6 years ago. That pregnancy was quite normal and I had a positive pregnancy test after only being a day late. This time around, I took a test about 8 days ago, which was negative and took another test 3 days ago, which was also negative. I want to be pregnant, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I have an appt in 2 days to have a blood test at the Dr. Could I be pregnant??

Yeap you could, that's how it was with my son! 2 false negatives before i got a postive. Then with my daughter I knew the day i conceived her somehow i was pregnant, and first pregnancy test i took i got lucky and it was positive. I had to take 3 pregnancy tests at home and get blood work to be sure with my son! So bloodwork should give you all the info!

Yes, you could be pregnant, especially if you have been trying. All pregnancies are different though. With my first child, I didn't get a positive test until I was 10 days late, and my second child, I got a positive the day I was suppose to get my period. Some women don't ever get a positive result when they do at home tests because they don't have enough HCG in their urine. The blood test should say everything though. Good luck.

Of course you could be pregnant! You're late and you've got pregnancy symptoms. For all three of my pregnancies I knew I was pregnant before taking the test (then there was the one time I had the flu - fatigue and nasea - and I was certain I was pg). All the best and I hope the next 2 days fly by!
