I had my baby 6 wks ago, vaginal birth but he was 10 wks prem . They started me expressing and pumping straight away. I have had supply issues and put on domperidone. I have been expressing but it wouldn't be as much as bf but. He wasn't able to. I have started bleeding and presume this is because of the body not recognising that I am expressing? Or the domperidone? I also have had sex, could that affect it? And will my body change again when they put him on the boob (which will be today)

I forgot to throw that out there too in my last post, one thing the nurse told me after my first is use protection and be super cautious especially after just having a baby because it is insanely easy to get pregnant again because you are still healing.

The bleeding is probably your period. I hope you are having protected sex and n ot relying on your breastfeeding and pumping for birth control.

I've been fortunate because while I breastfed my first child I never had a period until I stopped. Now with my second baby it was the same thing but now I'm not doing it as often as I used to so now I get periods every month.
It is normal to get them even if you are breastfeeding.

Um...according to my experience, and the advice from several physicians, your period will start again between 6-8 weeks post partum, regardless of whether or not you are expressing.

And if you had sex prior to the 6 week point, hopefully you didn't do any lasting damage to your body...
