I have a 7months preemie son. and his 2yrs old and 7months now. when he is 6months old he can't crawl. when turning 1 yr old .He can't seat or crawl properly he can't speak a lot he can say only (MAMA). until we dicide to go to his pediatrician to consult about his situation. pedia refer us to neurodevelopmental, and she said that we have 6months to help my son walk on his own.then she refer my son to go for PT (physical therapy) but sad to say in 3months PT didn't work. and then we dicide to stop. and we think that my son is late development because he is preemie. and when he turning 2. we see the improvement he can speak lot of words even some of word we don't understand. can saw him crawling properly , he can seat but style like a korean people dont know what called this. he stand and walking by holding him or hold on to furniture but he his foot looks like he is dancing like a ballet. and now he is 2yr old and 7months. this coming august he is turning 3. i hope more development. we notice that he can't stand straight i think theres a problem with his right leg. and we see that there is something wrong with his right foot. i can't explain. im a filipino and its hard for me to speak in english . but i hope you all understand my sons story.

Your english is fine, Ann. I would recommend that perhaps more PT is in order. You didn't give it very long to begin with, which may have resulted in the 'dancing' type motions, and the difficulty in placing his feet.

His being a preemie will have some affects on his development. If you don't mind sharing, what is his 'adjusted' age?

I would recommend another visit with the pediatrician, and possibly the neurodevelopmental specialist, to see if this is something that more PT could help correct, or if there is another condition or concern.
