It's not uncommon to have this happen but it's still best to check with a doctor. Don't for a minute think that this automatically means she is having a miscarriage - there are a multitude of other answers.

I don't think it's something to get her into a panic about but, she should go to the doctor's.
A little bleeding can be normal too.

As far as I know. Some women have a discharge or even a light period throughout their pregnancy. The question is does she have any pain? I would definitely recommend checking with her doctor just in case. I hope this helped a little, good luck.

I would suggest going to the doctor. The worse thing that can happen is...She wastes a few hours getting tests, etc. to find out that everything is ok. The best thing that could happen is...Something is wrong and they save her and the baby!
Had I not gone to the ER when i was at 33.5 weeks pregnant I would have lost my baby due to fetal to maternal hemoraging. So listen to your body..go to the doctor!

Have her call her Doc. Most likely it is normal, but he/she may want to see her.

I had so much bleeding with both my kids around that time in my pregnancies that I was SURE I had a m/c. Babies are fine now! She should go to the DR to be sure.

If she is having spotting only and no other symptoms like cramping than she is probably fine. To feel more at ease, tell her to talk with her doctor about it.

Don't be concerned with a little bloody discharge, a lot of woman have it all 9 months. If it becomes thicker like your period I would call her doctor!!

I would ask the doctor too but a lot of women still get their period during their pregnancy.

I agree. At least call the dr. Better safe than sorry. Bleeding at any time during pregnancy can be anything from nothing to worry about or an early sign to something serious. Only her dr. can tell and should at least be consulted. Don't worry about sounding silly. The nurses at my dr office knew the sound of my voice on the phone by the time I had my baby. ( :

I had pink/brown discharge all throughout my pregnancy. Sex or a vaginal exam was a sure fire way to bring it on. It's fine as long as it doesn't become heavy or bright red.

15 weeks - bloody discharge should be fine.
Worry if it's bright red NEW/FRESH blood --- if it's brownish or light pink dont stress, thats more than likely old blood being cleansed out. If she just needs a liner, its all good --- if shes drenching pads etc, then go to the drs.

A little bleeding can be normal but she does need to go to the dr. It can be a sign of a real bad UTI and it could lead to a miscarriage. Hope everything goes ok.
