When I am at work, I pump and take home an average of 5 to 6 ounces for the time I am away from he starting 8.30 to 5pm, he survives on 6 ouces max milk.

I tried but he doesnot take any other milk, I bought similac close to breast milk brands but of no use.
How should i , he was born 7 and he is at 4 month check up 14.5 pounds.

any body tell me ...is it ok or not.

He takes close to 6 ounces of breast milk from bottle and rice cereal with breast milk between 9 and 5pm. When I go home, I nurse him when ever he wants even in the night and till morning 7 am.
He was born 7lbs and at 4 month checkup he was 14.5lb.
Dr says to introduce formula, as he has to take 24 ounces a day. I am guessing as he nurses all night when he wants he might be getting it. But mornings, I know as I pump what he is consuming.
I want to know, is he weighing correctly, and the weight i mentioned was before I started solids for him. I started solids after 4 month checkup.

It's a personal matter. Your the mom. So i would.think maybe you want to nurse at bed time and give him supper when you come home. I doubt he only having 6oz of breastfeeding milk at 14.5 lbs. So he's eating
Call your doctor and ask. Do what the pediatrician says. I Think It Nobel Your pumping At Work For The Benefit of baby best health. I admire you for that.
Do not make the mistake of giving baby only milk. He has to eat food. Baby mush food.
Again ask the pediatrician and do what ever he says.

Yes he nurses from me when I go home and in the night. He makes a little noise when he wants milk and I bring him to me in the night.

You want about 1.25 oz per hour of separation, about 3-4 oz per bottle. His weight is fantastic. You want about 1 lb per month so he's exceeded that. Is he nursing while you're at home?

I want to know for the 8.5 hours I am away, he hardly takes 6 ounces of breast milk in a bottle and from the time he has been born he just gained double the weight. He is 5 months now, I started with some cereal.
I want to know, is that milk quantity good for him and is his weight appropriate. Doctor says he has to drink 24 ounces.I am concerned about his milk intake.

I'm not sure what the problem is? Why does he need to take formula? Are you worried about baby's weight? A little more info would be helpful!
