Also, don't be afraid of medical doctors. Talk with them. Seek out a doctor that also does not want them on meds until absolutely necessary. There are plenty of them out there.

As I suggested to another mother, who got really upset with me, you can certainly look into special ed classes for him so he can get the one on one time he needs. Often children with ADD or ADHD need more one on one time with the teachers to help them focus. You could ask his teacher if this is an option, or ask her for other help along this line. Talk to other mothers with children with ADD at school, and see how they are handling the same situation.

Hi ,thanks for commenting, its was so nice to see some one out there cares.
His treatment at the moment is a homeopathic remedy and good eating plan so all the healthy things. His teacher still feels that he is not concentrating enough and is still being a bit disruptive.I see a boy who is trying so hard and is a bit hectic but he is still so young. The teacher encourages me to seek further advise regarding his ADD and that would mean inevitable medication with schedule 5 drugs which I simply cant do.I have read so many bad side effects to these drugs, what else can I do other than this route?

Why do you think it is different at school? I am hoping you are under professional guidance on his homeopathic medication. It can be dangerous if not under professional care.
