He used to do athletics and badminton and the violin and gymnastics and these things and now he insists he doesn't want to do them.
He hated football and swimming and things aswell.
I mean he has no will to do any of these things.
We tried to make him do scouts but he ended up either getting sent home by the scout master or getting injured on purpose to go home.
Should I make him do these things.

Yup, I was just like him at 12 years old, I just wanted to go home and relax after school, my parents wanted me to join a sports team or cheerleading but I just liked going home after school. Maybe he's just a homebody too.

Some children are simply exhausted after school and/or can't wait to get home and relax, spend time with their family and get away from school mode in order to re-charge for the next day. I used to be one of those kids, and turned out just fine. I wouldn't pressure him too much, as long as he's doing well in school, is not acting withdrawn or antisocial, he will eventually find something he's interested in and has energy for, in his own time.

Meanwhile try to get the most of the time you have with him at home, try to interact as a family, include him in daily house shores, give him responsibilities at home, so he has a daily routine to follow and isn't just planted in front of the computer and/or T.V. all evening, if you have to do errands or go grocery shopping, take him with you and have him help you, he will like feeling helpful and included.

You didn't mention your son's age, but kids can learn to help out at home from a very early age, my son is 3 and he already knows to clean up his toys after he eats and to put back all dishes on the sink, it's never too late or too early to involve them.
