Hi there i am having problems with my 7 year old who seems to have a lack of common sence.. this may sound harsh but i am repeating my self every day telling the simplest things like get up , go to the toilet ect. He also has a bed wetting problem wich he has been given an alarm but has started turning it off as he says he likes the feeling of having wet pants. he has to constantly be told to flush the loo, take his plate out, get dressed the things he has been doing every day for 7 years. Also he makes noises like growling and bear hugging people. He has started shouting out in the garden and when we are out and about at the top of his voice for attention. He can not play with other children in a group as he has to have the game go his way or no way.. I have moved him to a new school as he started being bullied and the school would not support me they said he needs counciling.. can any one shed any light on what it may be? Trace

Go talk to a counselor they can set you in the right direction these are not normal 7 year old behaviors and he may have some underlying problems causing these issues.

Repeating yourself every day when it comes to kids is common. But, having to tell him to go to the bathroom over and over is not. Make him put the sheets and wet clothes in the washing machine, then the dryer, and then make him make his own bed. See if he still like the feeling of having wet pants then.

"He can not play with other children in a group as he has to have the game go his way or no way.. I have moved him to a new school as he started being bullied." Maybe he's not being bullied. Maybe he is the bully.

Have you considered counceling? Is he disciplined at home and punished for this behavior?
