My son just turned 9 months and he hasn't even tried to crawl yet. He just sits on his butt. stretch and reach for his toys cause i have moved them out his way to make him want to go get them. When you lay him on his stomach he just cries and get mad. he will stand up or want to walk with me holding his hands but he dont want to do it own his own. I am worried about him not learning yet but i have heard it takes awhile with some. My daughter was quick to learning everything. all his cousins was born within weeks/days of him and they have all started. is there something i can do to help him learn?? any tips on anything???

Some kids crawl early, some kids crawl 'late', some kids never crawl. A month ago I was watching two 9 month old babies from my church. One was crawling all over the place, pulling himself up, and grabbing at whatever he could get his hands on. The other was sitting there on her butt perfectly content to clap her hands or play with anything someone handed her. Both babies are 100% normal in their development.

Most doctors don't recognize crawling as a "milestone", since there is such a wide range of when (or even if) kids learn how to do it. If your son is trying to walk, even if it's holding your hands, then you have nothing to worry about. Except, of course, the fact that he will probably be walking WITHOUT your help very soon!

My daughter was one of those kids that didn't crawl. She actually scooted around on her butt to get everywhere. She crawled one day and the next day she let go of the furniture and started walking, she was 14 months old.

It sounds like he might just skip crawling, which is fine. From the sound of it he prefers walking, so just continue letting him walk while holding your hands.
