My 2.5 year old son is not getting to potty on time & goes around 8-10 times a day!.. He likes the potty and am putting him in pants (excepts when we leave the house he is in training pants, which has been hardly ever since we started 2 weeks ago). When we was in nappies he never had a dry one EVER & drinks a lot of water. My concern is that he is not!. He gets lots of praise when he goes in potty which he responds well to & just a couple of times has asked to go but 9 times out of ten it is accidents. Help i am going crazy!

If he is not dry for long periods of time in his nappy then he is not ready to potty train. My advice is to stop and wait at least another month before trying again. All your doing is stressing him and you out. Stop.

You will know when he is ready to train. He will try and remove his nappy, not like having a dirty nappy on, struggle when putting a new nappy on. He will be dry for long periods of time during to the day and he will show interest in the toilet and what goes on in there.
