My son is 21 month old and still can't sleep through the night

I put my son to sleep at 9pm, but before that these is what I do: Give him a bath, then his last milk, read a book and even sing his favorite song and then time to go sleep. He sleeps in his crib until 2-3 in the morning, then he wakes up and wants to be place in my bed with me and my husband. I do that because if I don't he won't go back to sleep, but the problem is that after 2 hrs he start to move so much, he wants to be on top of me and then back down and goes on and on like that. I thought it could be his eczema but he doesn't scratch all the time which make me think is not that. I also know he wants to sleep because his eyes are half closed. So then, what it could be? Anybody is going through that? Any suggestion.

My daughter is also 21 months old and she has eczema. She was an amazing sleeper up until a few months ago. She has always gone to bed VERY early and slept till 8 or 9. We moved her bedtime back up till 630 and when she woke up it was because she was hungry so we give her a yogurt mixed with milk and she goes right back to sleep.

Someone get back to me when I learn to sleep through the night.

Wait...I think the difference here is that I can get up and read a book, have a cup of tea, play on the computer until I'm ready to go back to sleep.

It must be tough being a tot. As it is, since I know that sometimes I myself have trouble falling asleep, or just don't -feel- like sleeping I try to meet my girls where they're at. Tiring, true, but this will pass so soon.

I have 4 kids. It might be hard to hear, if he is in the crib let him cry and fall asleep rather than sleeping with you. It will be hard to do, just make sure he is safe and check on him, don’t pick him up just comfort him and put him down and walk away. The first 3 days are the hardest, but then it gets better. I had to do the same with my twins when they turned 1. The other think that helped us was putting them down at 8 pm then they slept better. I hope this helps. Good luck.
