My son is 5 and was diagnosed in early 2012 with PDD/NOS/ODD and ADHD. We are not making any progress...My son seems to be digressing with age.... Nobody seems to want to help or understand our concern. His Behavioral therapist and Support Coordinator thinks we are making great progress. But we don't see it. Yet in the last 10 months my son went from knowing how to do his ABC's Front and Back, dress himself. Could count to 150 and do some much. and slowly he has started to digress or pretend he doesn't know how to do things he once did. If you ask him "do you understand?" He says no on everything. He can't be redirected at all. You tell him not to do something he will purposely do it. He has became more whinny about things. Screaming, kicking, biting in stores when he doesn't get his way. His behavior went from great last summer with minor hiccups to you want to pull your hair out and run away.... Everyday is more of a struggle then it use to be. We can;t go anywhere. our son refuses to listen to anyone. He refuses to nap or go to bed at night. We don't know if he is doing this on purpose or what. He starts Kindergarten in 5 weeks and I am so scared he is not going to be ready. I'm so fearful for my child right now and nobody that is suppose to be helping him seems to be actually HELPING HIM. Reward system does not work. And our behaviorist doesn't seem to get that though his head. All his Doctor wants to do is try a new med.. And I'm really not liking that my 5 year old takes more RX's then I do. My husband and I feel nobody gives a crap and my son is just being pushed aside. Our behaviorist and Support coordinator will not return our calls for days. We haven't seen them in a month. Nobody can seem to figure out why our son is behaving this way. I don't know is this is part of his Autism, but my son will repeat himself over and over and over all day long. If you and another person are talking, he has to make noise (loud) or try to talk over you as loud as he can. He never was like this until about 10 months ago he got increasingly worse. They will try a new med, it will work for about a month then he will go back to his old ways if not worse. Anyone have any thoughts?
