That would isolate him NOT in a very positive way. I am disappointing in their reaction of keeping him at a separate desk away from all the other children. That will segregate him in so many ways, and the children will see he is different. Maybe looking into a different school system and structure can and will help him. He clearly needs more attention from teachers, and perhaps a different style learning environment will help him better engage. I have a girlfriend who has 3 children with life threatening allergies also. I have seen and heard what she has to deal with.

Yes, 5th day of school he is on a "functional behavior assessment" and also seperated at a single desk, away from the other classmates. They said their trying to teach him boundaries. He has life threatening food allergies, and its just a never ending back n forth battle with his food diet, routine, schedule, paperwork, etc.

Many kids are in the same predicament. Some parents choose to find a specialty school, like a Montessori, or other private schools to accommodate their children. Have you talked with his teachers, principal, and nursing staff to discuss your concerns? How are they helping?
