I had a gassy baby too. I tried everything from changing the formula to all kinds of gas drops but what did work....I put a spoonful of baby cereal in his formula and it stuck to his stomach a lot better.Less gas and better sleeping

Yes I used gripe water for all of babies mixed with a little boiled water.
If you are breastfeeding you will need a flow regulator for the nipple of the bottle. A breastfeeding baby has to suck a lot harder on your breast to get anything then it does on a bottle so they will often choke or drown themselves drinking from a bottle. Most pharmacy sell flow regulators.

Gas drops and Gripe Water they are the best for gassy babies. Try different brands see what works best for with the Gas Drops. My son responded best to Oval Drops and for real gassy moments I alternated between Oval and Gripe Water.

I used gas drops but also had to try a variety of formulas before I found on that didnt cause gassiness for my son. When he does get gassy I would turn him over on my knees with his knees tucked up to his chest to aleviate the gas pressure.

first congrats!! they have gripe water that helps. we used to use that all the time. im not sure what kind of bottles you are using or if you are breast feeding or not but if you are using bottles push the air out as much as you can it helps eliminate the amount of air they suck into the bottle.

not sure your situation, but 6 weeks is when I stopped breastfeeding, and she was really gassy with the formula, and also got constipated, I had to switch to a soy formula, if your baby is constipated as well try a teaspoon of Karo syrup in the bottle, it helps a lot, the gas drops also help. It also could be the bottle you are using, I at first used just a regular wal mart brand bottle, then ended up switching to playtex vent-air bottles, and that also helped a lot b.c she wasnt taking in as much air with those!

Gas drops! We ended up using them before every feeding with our daughter because they worked miracles. :) They have Infants Mylicon Gas Relief, but we found that Equate Infants Gas Relief drops worked just as well and it's like half the price. Hope you find a solution soon!
