Don't worry about it or get too wrapped up in the #'s or %'s. My 3 month old girl is 25 inches long & 16lbs, she is off the growth charts and as big as the average 6 month old. My doctor told me she is just perfect & so is your baby.

My daughter is 12 weeks old and weighs 15.8 lbs and is in the 99th percentile. I'm not worried because they usually lose the weight when they start moving around on their own more.

My girls were always really small and I always worried about it, but I finally had to relax and know that their doctor would tell me if there was a problem! If your doctor has not had any concerns, neither should you!

No, all kids grow at different ages, my daughter was always in the 98% percentile of her age group since she was born.

My friend's baby was 23 inches at birth. He is now 23 and 6 ft. 8 inches. (mother 5'10" father 6'4")
Babies height and weight varies, but also look at you and the babies father. Genetics plays an important role.
My daughter was 17 lbs at 4 months but by 1 yr she was only 20 lbs. Many times when they start moving they slow the weight gain down a little. My children (5) were all 21 inches at birth and were 23 in a few months.
To me your son seems perfectly normal.

Don't fret about it. No need to worry. He may grow to be a tall man, and that's okay, so don't worry. Your doc will let you know if there is something askew with his growth patterns, and, trust me, having been in that predicament myself, but on the other end of it, (my kids were big babies, but then fell under the growth lines constantly as they got older) you will only cause yourself restlessness and stress. Enjoy that he is healthy and that he is normal...truly! No worries :0)

My third son is 2 months 21 days. I actually took him for a check up yesterday and he weighs 14lbs and is 24in long. The DR should tell you if he is big for his age or not. But it sounds like he is right on track!

My daughter was 12 lbs at 2 months and 23 1/2 inches long. At 2 1/2 months she was 13 pounds. At 2 months she was in the 95th percentile for both height and weight, but they said that it was just fine, she was growing in all directions and relatively proportionately and all was fine.

My son is 4 months and has always been in the 90-95% on height and weight. My doctor says as long as the height and weight match up there is nothing to be concerned about.

My second son was 10lbs 2oz and 22 1/2" long when he was born. So no your son is a healthy weight and length, unless the doc thought other wise. Em
