My son has just been diagnosed with Asperges on the mild scale. He has continually struggled with making friends and would dearly love a girlfriend and social life. He is good looking and outgoing and cannot understand why everyone else seems to have it all and he has nothing.

Hi. He's been referred for CBT so I'm hoping this helps. He held a job down for 11 years but wasn't really happy in it so when he left the job I and everyone else encouraged him unfortunately the better job he left it for didn't work out and now he's finding very hard to find a job. He's quite outgoing but keeps going out on his own which can't be easy but does t make any friends which is quite normal as everyone is out with there own friends. It's just coming to a head as he is approaching his 30 th birthday and everyone seems to have theirs lives mapped out

Maybe a life coach can give some strategies for him to reach some short and long term goals. If he went 29 without a diagnosis, his must be very high functioning. Putting himself out into situations where he can meets someone is going to increase the odd of finding some friends. What are his interests?
