i am a first time mother at the age of nineteen and i have no idea what to do to help him he cries a lot and will automatically put his hands in his mouth and the only way i have found to sooth him so far is either let him chew on his hands or he chews on my fingers what can i do or use to get him to stop chewing on hands or using my breast as a paci.

i have a 3 month old son i am 20 years old and am a first time mother, my son is also teething, he usually shoves his whole fist in his mouth a gags, but i suggest pushing on his gums with your fingers or freezing a cloth and let him bite on that you can also use a paci , i highly recommend this site www.gumdroppacifier.com i orderd a whole bunch of stuff and the gum drops are perfect for breastfed babys :) . my son usually just munches on my fingers hah , theres no other signs except crying for no reason and my son sleeps alot also some babys have a hard time sleeping from aches while teething its hard to get him to sleep but when hes asleep hes asleep :) you can also try baby orjel my son dosent like it and it dosent seem to help but every baby is different and just make sure if you use it to not use to much at all since your son is only 2 months its not good to swallow.

Frozen fruit can help. They can start teething at 2 months but it is unusual for them to have their teeth come in until a few months later. My daughter did the same thing and didn't get her first tooth until she was about 10 months old. Orajel works for some babies. Just a little bit is all you really need.
