I have a 1 year old son, he was 6 weeks premature, he was put on nutriprem 2, he was wrapped when giving his bottle & always was sick, I felt like I was force feeding him, it was horrible, he's eating Jared food from 7months+ but he won't chew it and it's taken over an hour to feed him, I've tried to give him a piece of toste, some mashed bananas, mashed potato but he just throws up. I'm so worried about it as I no he should be eating what we eat but he just throws up he on 1 bottle of Aptamil 2 at night, he also won't drink normal milk but he'll take it on his weetabix, he doesn't talk words, im just SO worried, what is wrong I keep asking myself, if anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it, thanks

Have you talked to your doctor about it to get advice on what he should be eating at his age?

He's only 1 y/o, so it may be too early to give him "chewable" food. He needs something really mashed up or pureed, and still may spit a lot of it back out if he doesn't like the flavor/texture or can't swallow such big spoonfuls. With crackers or toast, he may suck on it to get it soggy enough to swallow. Give him time to adjust to different food types.

I have an 18 year old & he was such a easy baby but I know no 2 children are the same, I also think because my LO was premature im so over cautious with him, my first took to solids great but my LO just keeps throwing up, I also don't understand why he won't drink cow's milk, he takes 1 bottle a day of milk and that's at night so he knows it's bedtime, I have been to the doctors, the pedestrian and talked with my health visitor but none give any help at all, I've also taken my LO to a dietician and she said he should be on cow's milk but he just won't take it, he dose like food that is softer and mushy, I just think it's time for him to start our food :) thanks for your reply
