I know this might sound weird but with my son I brought the little potty out into our living room. I'd put on a cartoon and give him a cold drink (hoping this would help him go potty) and he never had a problem sitting there. And I would put him on every hour and give him a m&m afterwards even if he didn't go. I know every hour seems like a lot but it's just getting him to do it one time and making a huge deal about it that then it starts clicking. Hope this helps.
I tried to potty train my son at 2, but he hated it and kicked, screamed and refused to go on. He saw his twin sister do it but still wasn't interested. We encouraged him to visit the toilet when we did and saw us sitting doing business and laughed etc. After three months, he finally took his own nappy off in the living room, ran to the toilet door and shouted he needed wee wee. We have not looked back since. He has mastered it really well (2 and half now) and is dry and clean day and night. I think you have to wait until they are ready and amybe try him with a toilet seat on the toilet if he sodesn't like the potty. My son hated the fact it was low down, slippery on our wood floor and even when we go out now he refuses to use it, he would rather be held over a bush!!!

I tried giving my daughter snacks on the potty and singing to her. I tried giving her stickers and letting her color. She still holds it until she gets off the potty and then pees in a corner. Everyone tells me though that when she is ready she will go.

You cant really push a child into potty training cause they all do it at there own time! Just try to interest him in it! Like telling him that big boys do it and then point it out in commercials and shows and stuff! Get him to follow his dad into the bathroom so he sees that his dad does it too! Cause most boys admire their father and want to be just like them! Hope it helps!

hi! potty training is sometimes confusing, if he is absolutley refusing, i would wait a while. Try letting him go to the bathroom w/ a male in the household when they go. Also when my little brother was little i remember my grandma always had him stand on her feet and he thought it was really fun so maybe skip the potty chair? For my daughter i bought a stool and a cushioned seat to go on our big toilet (still had to help her on and off for quite awhile) But every kid likes different things just keep trying! Also with boys that are tall enough or on a stool, they like to aim at things in the potty, like cheerios...lol we did this alot with kids in my preschool!
