My son's fiance's parents want nothing more to do with either of them, and ae refusing to come to the wedding. Without dishonoring them, what do we say when people ask where her parents are?

My son's fiance loves her parents and this hurts her deeply, but it is very private to her, and she is unwilling to say anything unkind about her parents. What can she truthfully say when people at the wedding... most of which know her parents... while keeping lots of questions at bay?

Just say they were not able to make it. And keep repeating that with a calm voice and smile on your face. Once you've said it, if you want to, try and change the subject to how beautiful the bride is and how happy you are for your son.

It is NO ONE"S business otherwise.
