My son is in the fifth grade. At the last parent-teacher conference his teacher wrote that he was a liar on his report card. This stemmed from an incident in the classroom where the teacher slammed books on a table to get my son's friend's attention. My son asked to go to the principal immediately to report it, but the teacher told him he could not go. When my son came home I called the other boy's parent and told them what happened. The parent went to the principal...I went to the teacher. Since this happened...in February, I have talked to his teacher various times and EVERY time he has brought up that my son started a rumor about him throwing books...and that he got in trouble. He even told him that I went to the principal, and wouldn't drop the issue. I had a meeting with the principal and the teacher...then last week my son came home from school crying. His two friends were with him who were also in the class. The teacher told one friend that he was going to end up in prison (and his father is actually in prison), and then he once again told my son he was a liar...all of this in front of the class. What can I do next? I called the school to report it and I am waiting for them to call me back...
