So my 4 1/2 year old son got a note sent home today saying he just wants to play and not do his work in preschool. Also that he is having trouble keeping his hand and body to himself. I called his teacher. Im waiting on her to call me back. But I don't know what to do. I tell him to do is work and keep his hands to himself but it not working. Need Advice! Please!

sometimes consequences are needed. explain WHY it is important to do his work and to keep his hands to himself. Is he hitting or only touching? is he only poking his friends, or is it more serious? you can have a talk with him about the golden rule, and how karma works. if he continues to put his hands on other children, someone might get tired of it and put their hands on him. if he continues to play instead of doing what he is SUPPOSED to be doing, he will fall behind in class and he wont know what he is supposed to be doing later, and then he will get frustrated, perhaps he is already behind, and that is why he is playing.... maybe you need to go over what they are doing in school. perhaps you can have the teacher send you home a packet of what they are doing in class and you can make sure he understands it before they go over it.
