I just want to make sure that my son is on track and advice from moms with premature babies will be helpful. He was born on August 21 this year, due date was September 22. Especially in dealing with motor skill development. My son is currently wiping his eyes and batting at things, he can hold on to things if i place them in his hand, but has a bit of a time trying to grab things himself. Now he can hold on to blankets and shirts, but not objects like rattlers, teething rings etc. Also he does have a bit of a time trying to lift his head up for extended periods of time. Are these things normal? Is there anything that I should be doing to ensure that his motor skills are growing at the proper rate?
