my son is 4 years old and he used to play sports and be active like fishing and doing stuff outside but now he stays in his room doesn't say much act like he doesn't want to hang out and social with me and his mom like we have done in the pass and also he is sleeping a lot after school now and that is what really worrys me .
I really don't know what to do because his grades are really good and I don't think he's doing drugs at least I hope he is not but I think anything is possible.
I raised my kids to tell me the truth about anything no matter how bad it could be and they do just that but as a parent I know they will never tell me everything. So anyway I need help on this. What to do first and roll out

So...what electronics does he possess that keep him in his room? First step: Take away the electronics. Second step: Parental controls for time spent on said electronics while kept in a public area of the home.

Consistency is key. All teens want to try the 'hermit' mode of life. Mine weren't very successful...we made sure that we had family activities constantly. Every weekend, we were camping, hiking, recreational shooting, or traveling. Summers, same deal. Heavily involved in outdoor markets, etc.

And yes, they'll tell you 'I don't want to' which my answer was I appreciate your honesty, but you don't have a choice in the matter.
