My son is now 3 months old and has yet to sleep in his crib or bassinett. The only way I can get him to sleep is by bouncing him in his bouncy seat. Ive tried many times to switch him to the crib once he is asleep, but he just wakes up screaming. Ive tried letting him scream a few mins, with mobile on or sound machine on, ive even tried putting the breast feeding pillow under him so hes elevated like in the bouncy seat, but he just wont have it. He has club feet so he is going through casts and now bars and boots so I am trying to make him as comfortable as possible, but at the same time he needs to sleep in his crib where it is safe, so I will be able to sleep at ease knowing that.(not waking up every hour to check, or sleeping with one eye open). Please help with ideas on how to switch him over, and make it so he likes it and is comfortable.

Both my kids slept in a bouncer till 4 or 5 months, it worked for us and when it came to sleep I took it any way I could get it. If it really bothers you though you can always lay him in the crib and pat his back if he wakes. When we transitioned to the crib I would nurse till they were almost asleep and put them in. I would let my daughter fuss for a few minutes and start the process over again if she didn't settle.

We have four kids and never used a crib. A crib is a relatively modern invention. If your son is getting the sleep he needs in the bouncer seat I wouldn't worry about it. Lots of new parents check their babies constantly even when they're in a crib. You could look into a baby hammock. It would probably feel similar to the bouncer, but he wouldn't outgrow it as soon.
