my son wont go to school

my thirteen year old son refuses to go to school he has been pre assessed as having traits of autism i have gone to my local mp to see if he can hurry the procedure up as my son is making home life unbearable and i am now having to take him back to where he grew up as he is in constant contact with his friends from his primary school in wales especially when he goes down there to stay nobody will help with getting him assessed and because of his behaviour i am losing friends and have had to call the police i am at my wits end on what to do next has anyone got any advice please

And exactly how is getting him diagnosed going to change how you do things to get him to school? It isn't. er So waiting for a diagnosis is unlikely to help. Has your son told you WHY he doesn't want to go to school? I frequently wonder how refusing to go to school is even an option. We all have jobs in life, your child's job is to go to school. If this is an issue for him, then you need to work out why and work on the underlying cause. Autism is not a cause, so perhaps finding the actual reasons will be a step in the right direction. You can then be more solutions focused.
