i totally regret letting my brother in law cutting my sons long curly hair. but his hair was growing uneven to where i asked him to trim it. he wouldnt let me comb or brush it really it was always a fight at first he was trimming it then he got lower and i said i dont want it low or in a fade but its low. his curls is still there , i dont like it i have been crying ever since because my son doesn't look like his-self. my son Malachi is 17 months old , will his hair grow back curly?? since its not cut all the way off. Will it take a very long time for it to grow back? he had a man bun and i totally miss it and soooooo regret letting him cut! :( very sad regretful mom.

You could be having baby blues aka Post Partum Depression. Still emotional from after birth which could explain the crying and sadness. I had PPD with my second daughter after she turned 2. Which is odd because they say it usually occurs within the first year. Everyone is different though. As for his hair. It will grow back. I recently buzz cut my son's hair because it was growing uneven I regret it only because it's taking quite a while for his hair to grow back. Eventually though your son's hair will come back curly as ever.

No one can tell you what your son's hair will do. It might grow back the same... it might not. There is no way to predict that.

I have two boys who had lovely curly locks as tots. After the first haircut they no longer had the lovely curls; but the are still the two most handsome boys I have ever seen!

Lol now it's the wait game . I'm starting to feel better a little bit about it because I know it was growing long & uneven in the middle it was curly & short everything else was long so we buzz cut it I guess to even it to the middle but they took a little more off than I expected , so now it just needs to grow back lol

Try not to feel too bad. Since the texture of the hair does not usually change, Malachi’s hair may grow back just the way it was before. Hoping you feel better soon. Hugs to you!

I’m sorry that you’re regretting cutting Malachi’s hair. Our daughter had almost straight hair (15 % wavy hair) until we shaved her head after her first birthday. Now she’s got beautiful ringlet curls. Everyone loves her hair. I’m going to take a guess and say that your son’s hair might remain curly since it wasn’t shaved. But I’ve got to agree with Dove, as well. Nobody can predict whether his hair will be curly or not. Whatever it is, please don’t stress yourself over this. It’s gone now and it will take some time for your son’s hair to grow back. Cheer up, momma! :)
