Due to the fact that he had a complicated delivery, I am not surprised he is late with sitting. However, you may want to discuss this with his pediatrician. Has he been late with other milestone? Did he roll over at the expected time? Does he have pretty good control of his arms and hands? Can he pick up a piece of cereal and bring it to his mouth without any problem?

It is a little late for that milestone, but every baby is different. Was he a preemie? did he have any illnesses? Did he reach other milestones right on schedule or is he typically a little late? You can always consult your doctor, but maybe give hm a week or two and have him spend a lot of time on the floor.
