She is a great, wonderful kid, we have some issues with let's just say electronics, her grandparents got her a very nice, expensive tablet for Christmas, well they showed her n she flipped out cause it wasn't the right one, so they drove to best buy n got another one n still is not right. I'm trying to show her how she went wrong about the situation, n she flipped out crying saying everything she does is wrong, n she doesn't want to think or talk ever again. (My parents don't help cause they cater to her) but I need help as mom. Please any advice will help! Thanks

Also be aware that she is 10... and 10 is typically the age that hormones start making girls VERY difficult to handle. She may need some time and space and a parent reacting calmly and w/ love and understanding of the hormones... but she also needs to learn that hormones are not an excuse to behave like a spoiled brat.

I will tell you that if any of my children flipped out like that over the 'wrong' gift... I would take that gift away and they would not get a different one. If it were the grandparents that bought it I would say they had to keep it at their house (assuming they don't live w/ you) or be well aware that I would give it away or sell it to a family that would have a more grateful child.
