My therapist at the NICU has suggested against Jumeroos but is ok with an excersaucer....I've read online that excersaucers are a no no for preemies as well.....is it best to stay away from both?

My son was a premie, but he was able to sit up at 4 months I had both the jumper and the exercsauce that bounce he was in it at 6 month loved both got his work out and he worked hard but laugh so much while in it, he started to walk a week before 10 month and once he hit 10 month started to run and never stop.

Rethinking it, I think 8 months for babies that were born full term.

I guess it depends on their age, and strength. Neither one should be used until a child is about 6 months or older for the jumper. As far as preemies go, I would think maybe a bit older. Really they need strong neck muscles and leg support. It helps them start building muscles for walking, but should not be the object you just put them in all the time. Infants should not be put in either.
