Is it ok to give my three month old rice cereal along with her milk in bottle

I also asked my pediatrician about this as my 3month old seemed to want to eat more then just breast milk. I was told the only time it was ok to add rice cereal to milk is if the child has reflux issues and is being watched closely by your pediatrician. My pediatrician told me to instead put rice cereal in a bowl ( only a couple tablespoons) and add formula or breast milk to it. Feed it to him with a spoon. It should be pretty runny to start. If your baby is not able to sit up in a high chair yet you will want to wait until he reaches this mile stone. Then after giving him the cereal you can then feed him a bottle. I was told there is a high risk of aspiration if you add cereal to your babies bottle. I hope what I have said helps you.
