My son has had very mild night terrors since he was , started at about age two. Recently we moved and he started having them worse. Now it's to the point of them lasting all night. There is no comforting him while this happens because hes not really awake. I just want advice on things I can do to try to help them stop or at least slow down.

Night terrors can be daunting, Rosella! Hang in there, and rest assured, this is most likely something that he will grow out of!

Very helpful, Lauren! I posted on a different thread, Rosella, but Lauren has a very good suggestion.
Most likely it is anxiety caused by the move (totally normal), and as he gets more adapted to the new place, they should ease up

Hi, my oldest son had night terrors very badly when he was around 2. I had just moved house also. It got that bad that we had to take him to the doctors. Gradually he grew out of it, but it was very scary at the time. The doctor said it was because of the new things happening and when he awoke in the night he wasn't aware of his surroundings. He suggested we basically show him a tour of his bedroom each night before putting him to bed, and get him to point to things he knows belongs to him. Helped loads and the eventually disappeared. I know how awful it is for you just now, but maybe if you do the same as the doctor told me it will hopefully work for you too. xx

Thank you ladies. All of your insight is helpful. He's my first child and so you can imagine the fear I had for him just witnessing these terrors.
