Why do two month olds chew in their fist an drool so much? She is too young to be teething and I was told that its normal for 3 month olds to do these activities.

In addition to what Cecilia has said, babies are also learning about their world orally. She has just discovered that she has those little hands AND that she controls it, so that's a part of it.

Babies suck their fist because it is a way of soothing themselves. They naturally have a strong sucking reflex. Some babies suck on a few fingers, some suck on their fist.

As far as drooling, they really haven't learned to swallow spit as it's made. You do it without thinking. They don't.

The sucking is actually more common of a 2 month old since many will give it up at 3 months because their hand-eye coordination has improved and they are able to do more with their hands, such as play with toys.
